THE median Melbourne house price will burst through the $1 million mark in just 12 years if prices rise at the same rate as they have over the past 43 years.
据2009年10月17日《Herald Sun》报道，房产研究机构BIS Shrapnel预测，如果墨尔本的房价保持43年来的平均上涨速度，到2021年，墨尔本房产中间价格将超越百万澳元大关，达到$1,056,199元。39年后到2048年，中位房价则将攀升至$500万澳元！
截止今年九月底的目前中位房价为$525,000元，
自1966年以来，墨尔本房价平均每年升幅达9.4%，当时只需花费$9350元即可买到一栋标准独立房产（House）。
这项预测显示，房产买家不要再犹豫了，只要目前能负担得起，就应尽量买下一套房产，否则越往后拖，将来拥有自己房屋的梦想将越来越遥远。
