据2011年3月9日《Herald Sun》报道，上周五，36岁的墨尔本产妇Amanda Booker在Waverly私立医院剖腹生下维州最大最重的婴儿，体重达到5.75公斤，相当于一出生就看起来像四个月大。至此，Amanda家的三个男孩出生体重都超过了4.5公斤。

维州新生婴儿的平均体重是3.37公斤。
