澳洲西部海域发生沉船事故 25人下落不明

GRAVE fears are held for more 20 suspected asylum seekers missing after the boat they were travelling on capsized during a rescue operation off the Cocos Islands late last night.

据2009年11月2日澳新社报道，一艘载有约40人的轮船1日晚在澳洲西部海域沉没，目前有15人被救，其他25人仍下落不明。

澳洲联邦政府并不确定这艘船是否为偷渡船只。近年来已经有数十艘偷渡船只抵澳，船上多为斯里兰卡和阿富汗人。
