Monash Council has successfully prosecuted the proprietor of a Glen Waverley food premises for breaches of the Food Act.
Winston Jiang, the proprietor of JG Dumpling Restaurant at 82 Kingsway, Glen Waverley, was convicted and fined an aggregate of $100,000 for 18 charges under the Food Act 1984, as well as a fine of $1,500 for failure to comply with an order. Mr Jiang was also ordered to pay Council costs of $5,735.

该餐馆江姓华人东主(Winston Jiang)遭到重罚$100,000澳元,以及控方费用$5,735元,还因不执行法廷指令被另外罚款$1,500元,并在今后12个月内,该餐馆被列入维州卫生厅 “定罪登记”黑名单。
具体指控如下:The charges under the Food Act related to:
Fail to store food under temperature control;Among the breaches discovered during inspections of the premises in June, July and August, Council officers found:
Fail to protect food from contamination;
Inadequate garbage receptacles;
Fail to prevent pests entering the premises, and;
Fail to maintain premises in a clean and sanitary condition and in a good state of repair
an accumulation of mould on the ceiling above the mechanical fan;
a bag of raw chicken, a bucket of uncovered rice cakes and three colanders containing chopped cabbage stacked on top of each other and sitting on the floor;
uncovered food in the cool room;
accumulation of food waste on the cool room floor,
no liquid soap or paper towels in the staff toilet;
a tub of noodles soaking in water at a mop sink;
vegetables covered in newspapers;
door seals on the fridge sticky taped together to hold them in place, and;
food safety records either not on site or not maintained.
