悉尼公立医院新生儿母婴“混淆”现象严重

BABIES are being handed to the wrong mothers who are unknowingly breastfeeding another woman's child, with a string of dangerous hospital blunders exposing both mums and newborns to disease.

据2010年5月8日《悉尼每日电讯报》报道，由于医院工作人员疏忽，新生儿被“混淆”现象严重。

过去三年里，悉尼公立医院妇产科至少发生26起新生婴儿“名牌”被混淆案例，造成一些产妇母乳喂养的新生儿并非其亲生孩子；最严重的一起发生在悉尼西区Blacktown公立医院，由于助产士和护士弄错婴儿“名牌”造成给错药物的严重事件。
