澳总理陆克文任命伯克为澳首位人口部长

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has announced he had recommended to the Governor-General the appointment of Tony Burke as Australia's first population minister. Mr Burke will retain his other portfolio of agriculture, fisheries and forestry.

据2010年4月3日新加坡《联合早报》消息，澳洲总理陆克文建议任命农业部长伯克（Tony Burke）为该国首位人口部长 (Population Minister)。


根据总理办公室的电邮声明，伯克将在未来12个月制定一套策略，来应对人口增长对经济、基础设施、福利计划和国家安全的影响。据悉，伯克将留任其农业、渔业和森林业部长的职位。
