ADELAIDE property developer Ross Makris will celebrate his 40th birthday next week as Australia's wealthiest member of Generation X.

The son of Greek migrant Con Makris, who made his fortune developing and owning shopping centres, commercial properties and residential projects, with his father topped BRW Magazine's 2009 Young Rich List released today.
