专家预测:明年初墨尔本房价止跌回升

据2008年11月18日《Herald Sun》报道，著名澳洲房产研究机构Residex首席执行官John Edwards表示，最坏的时候已经过去，最多再过六个月，墨尔本房价即将止跌回升。

The good news according to one leading forecaster is that Melbourne house prices should rebound soon.

They dipped 0.64 per cent in October, according to Residex.

Sydney suffered an even bigger drop of 1.1 per cent, while Canberra nose-dived by 2.11 per cent -- the largest monthly fall of any city in 30 years.

Residex CEO John Edwards said the worst of the negative growth should be behind us and predicted Melbourne house prices would start to climb.

"There might be a little more negative growth for a couple of months but then it will start to move keeping pace with inflation," he said.

"That is as long as there are no more severe shocks."

Mr Edwards said the worst case scenario was that Melbourne house prices could go backwards another 2.5 per cent over the next six months, but would then rise again.
