据2008年1月13日《澳洲人报》报道，13日下午4点左右，一场强风暴袭击了悉尼西区，风速高达100公里/小时。

新州紧急救援处SES在15分钟内就接获60通求援电话。风暴所到之处，一些树木被连根拔起，对当地商家和民宅已造成一些损坏。
