从今年9月1日起,昆州开始实行新的印花税政策,首次置业者免交印花税的房价“门槛”从原先的$350,000元提高到$500,000元,也就是说,首次置业人士所购房产若不超过$50万元可免交印花税,这就和新州、西澳的印花税政策保持一致,即购买$50万元以下房产可全免印花税。
但维州政府依然故我,收取大量的印花税。事实上,政府将地契更改东主的成本仅仅$200元,而平均向每栋房产收取的印花税却高达$30,000元,并且随着墨尔本房价再上台阶,政府的印花税收入如滚雪球一般越滚越多。
据2008年9月9日《The Age》报道,有关方面已经呼吁维州也应当仿效昆州,提高免交印花税房产价值的门槛至$50万元,并进一步降低房产交易印花税。

Queensland
