1 pm~3 pm December 25 2007

For the 14th consecutive year, Bayside is hosting a Community Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day. With Christmas being a time for families to come together and celebrate, those who are alone or disadvantaged can find Christmas a very challenging time.

Bayside Church opens its home and presents a lovely three-course Christmas dinner providing an opportunity to connect with others.

If you are alone this Christmas, please call at the office on (03) 9585 2455 to book in, and if you would like to be part of the team on the day, please contact Deborah Gates at the church office.

澳洲人的Seachange现象日益浮现

据12月22日《澳洲人报》头版头条报道,昆士兰州黄金海岸北部的彩虹沙滩(Rainbow Beach)正吸引越来越多的澳洲Seachangers。

Suzy and Rob Carberry with daughter Jaime above Rainbow Beach, where they have moved to start a new life.

Rainbow Beach, about three hours north of Brisbane and the gateway to
Fraser Island, is typical of the former fishing villages that are now being made
over as more Australians try to find the "new Noosa".

Places such as Yamba in northern NSW, Blueys Beach near Forster in NSW, Apollo Bay in Victoria, and Yallingup in Western Australia are all towns that have previously been just a bit too far outside capital cities.

But now they're changing. The coastal strips close to Australia's major cities, such as the central coast in NSW, the Gold and Sunshine coasts in Queensland, and the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, have all grown quickly since the 1990s and are now getting crowded and, for many, overpriced.

It's the places just past these - such as Rainbow Beach, about an hour
north of Noosa - that are now undergoing their own metamorphoses.
